This beautiful, fairly modern stained glass window can be seen in the little church of St Mary the Virgin at Bishopstone. It depicts scenes from the Wiltshire countryside; sheep, a badger, wheat and poppies in the first panel. In the middle panel the village of Bishopstone and the purple orchids which can be found on the downs are depicted. The third panel shows more wild flowers, a pheasant and I think Silbury Hill is there too. Thursday 3 July 2008
